Movement Quality Annotation

In the WhoLoDancE project we are collecting annotations on the perception of movement qualities by dance experts such as choreographers, dance researcher, teachers or students.

The annotations will be used by researchers for investigating the relationship between movements and their perception.

Before annotating, please fill the registration form below.

Tutorial

Annotating a dance performance can be a heavy and time-consuming procedure. Our tool makes it easy and light by asking you to compare two short dance segments and choose the one that is performing more fluidly/heavily. The answers will be useful to develop algorithms able to automatically annotate dance performances.

The annotation tool only works with laptop and desktop computers (no tablet/smartphones) and it was only tested for the Google Chrome browser.

Please, watch the tutorial before starting the annotation procedure.

Contacts

To report any technical issue, please contact Michele Buccoli. If you want to know more about the WhoLoDancE project, visit the website .

Registration

We aim to understand how different age or expertise of people affect the final annotation. For this reason, we need to ask you some personal information.

The information you are about to provide will be exclusively employed for the research activities envisaged within WhoLoDancE and processed by its Consortium partners, and will not be revealed to any third party external to the Consortium.
